All the 240V a.c. electrical connections to the lighting system are carried out during the first phase electrical

fix. The two-part construction of the Marshalling box means that only the back box is installed at this stage.

This box allows the electrical contractor to connect the 240V a.c. mains and 36V d.c. control bus to the units,

without installing any of the control electronics, as this can now happen in the second electrical fix.

Fix

First Fix

The Back Box (with no electronics) is installed by the electrical

contractor. This is usually fixed to the ceiling slab.

Once the Back Box is fixed to the ceiling slab, the electrical

contractor can connect the 240V a.c. mains and Category 5

C-Bus network cable.
