VCR OPERATION
This product incorporates copyright protection technology that is protected by U.S. patents and
other intellectual property rights. Use of this copyright protection technology must be authorized
by Macrovision, and is intended for home and other limited viewing uses only unless otherwise
authorized by Macrovision. Reverse engineering or disassembly is prohibited.
To Record From DVD To Videotape during DVD playback
One Touch Recording (OTR)
■ To record the current TV program at the touch of a button, follow the procedures below.
RECORDING
1 First, follow steps 1 to 4 under “To Record With VCR” on page 26.
2 Press [REC] repeatedly to set the desired recording time:
Once .......... continuous recording until you press [STOP]
Twice ......... record for 30 mins from current time
3 (times) ...... record for 1 hour
. .
. .
10 ............... record for 5 hours
11 ............... record for 6 hours
12 ............... record for 7 hours
13 ............... record for 8 hours
14 ............... record for 9 hours
15 ............... Return to normal (continuous) recording
3 To stop Recording, press [STOP] for more than 5 seconds.

Press [DVD] to select DVD mode.
Insert the desired DVD disc.
You cannot record copy-protected DVD discs.
Insert a recordable tape into the VCR.

Press [PLAY] to start the DVD playback and press [REC] to start
the VCR recording.

To exit record, press [ ].
Recording stops automatically when recorded tape reaches the end.
Video recorded in PROGRESSIVE SCAN mode will playback abnormally. First
change PROGRESSIVE to INTERLACED mode in the SCAN MODE screen, then
record from DVD to videotape. (refer to pages 46, 49)
• If the program is running overtime, pressing [REC] will extend the recording time 1/2
hour.
